The much-awaited film Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan, has officially started shooting today, August 23, 2025, in Kochi. This film reunites Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan after nearly 17 years, since their last outing together in Tashan. In a fun BTS video, Akshay was seen wearing a “Saint” T-shirt and joked, “Hum sab hi hain thode se shaitaan… Koi upar se Saint, koi andar se Haiwaan.” He added, “Starting the shoot for #Haiwaan today with my absolute favourite captain of the ship, Priyadarshan. Great to be working with Saif after nearly 18 years. Let’s get the haiwaniyat rolling!!” Haiwaan is reportedly the Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam. Akshay Kumar is expected to play a dark and intense antagonist, while Saif Ali Khan will be seen in the role of a blind man caught in a thrilling conflict. Produced by KVN Productions in association with Thespian Films, the film will be shot across Kochi, Ooty, and Mumbai.
