313 - POWERFUL WIND Stops us in Our TRACKS! And Causes a TRAFFIC JAM on Heartbreak Hill!

Today me and mum head through another 10 locks on the "Heartbreak Hill" lock flight, a flight of 31 locks between Middlewich and Kidsgrove. We were already having a pretty bad day when we got wedged in the first locks because we didn't lift the fenders. I stupidly went down the side of the boat to try to lift them and got mud all over myself, making it look like id pooed myself. To add to that, we reach a very open and exposed section of the lock flight, which allowed the very strong side wind to make it impossible to try the boat, pinning it against the bank, it was going to take a long time for us to get in the next lock with that wind, and then I noticed a crew of four quickly making their way up behind us!
