How to Support Others Through Anxiety and Fear: Biblical Guidance and Practical Steps 😨 !
LTM Simply. —❤️ The Cross Ministries— Encourage us to trust God with our anxieties, rely on His peace, and remember that He cares for us deeply. 1. Matthew 6:25-27 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (NIV) • This passage reminds us that God cares for all creation, and we are far more valuable to Him than the birds, encouraging us to trust Him for our needs. 2. 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (NIV) • This verse urges us to bring our anxieties to God and release them into His care, knowing He loves and cares for us. 3. Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (NIV) • God’s promise to be with us and provide strength in the face of fear and anxiety gives us assurance that we are not alone. 4. John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (NIV) • Jesus offers His peace, which is different from the peace the world gives, assuring us that we don’t need to let anxiety control us. 5. Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” (NIV) • This verse emphasizes that when we give our worries to God, He will support us and keep us steady. To God Be The Glory! As an Ambassador of Christ , we know that only the saving grace of God brings true peace ! “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”2 Cor5:20-21 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19- 20. “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,..” Acts 2:17 “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. God promises to strengthen you. “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being.” (Ephesians 3:14-16 ESV) God promises to give you rest. “Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’” (Matthew 11:28-30 NLT). God promises freedom from sin. “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (1 John 1:9 NLT) .
