조용필 (1950년 3월 21일 ~, 경기도 화성 출생 )은 대한민국의 가수이다. 1969년 미8군 무대에서 활동을 시작했고, 1975년 《돌아와요 부산항에》로 정식 데뷔했다. 당시 재일교포 고국 방문과 맞물려 발표된 이 노래는 부산에서부터 인기가 시작되어 전국적으로 퍼졌고, 조용필의 이름이 본격적으로 알려진 계기가 된다. 수 많은 히트곡과 한국 내 최대 콘서트 인원 동원 기록, 예술의 전당 7년 연속 공연 기록을 가지고 있다. 킬로만자로의 표범(1985년 발표)을 불러 2001 탄지니아정부로 부터 문화훈장을 받았다. 이곡은 1980년 발표된 곡으로 김중순 작사 김희갑 작곡 발라드 풍이다. 이 동영상은 2008년 5월 24일 잠실 주경기장에서 있었던 40주년 기념 공연장면입니다. Cho Yong-pil(Born 21th march 1950 in Hwasung City, Gyeonggi province, Korea) is a Korean singer. This song, which was released in conjunction with a visit to the home country of Korean Japanese at the time, began to become popular in Busan and spread nationwide. The name Cho Yong-pil is officially known. He has a record of numerous hit songs and the largest number of concert personnel in Korea, and has a record of seven consecutive years of performances at the Seoul Arts Center. The Leopard of Kilomanjaro (announced 1985) was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit by the Tanzanian government in 2001. This song was released in 1980 and has a ballad style written by Kim Joong-soon and composed by Kim Hee-gap.
