🙏POWERFUL NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL (Pray for 9 days) Our Lady of the miraculous medal Novena The miraculous medal novena, otherwise known as The Miraculous Medal Perpetual Novena or novena to our Lady of the miraculous medal novena can be said at any time of the year, but is traditionally said 9 days to the feast of our lady of the miraculous medal. The Novena of our lady of the miraculous medal is said at the miraculous medal shrine every Monday. This novena prayer to our mother of the miraculous medal was started at The Miraculous Medal Shrine on Monday, December 8, 1930, by Father Joseph A. Skelly, CM, founder of the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal The Miraculous Medal also known as the Medal of Our Lady of Graces, is a devotional medal, originated by Saint Catherine Labouré following her apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Rue du Bac Chapel, Paris, France. The Blessed Mother appeared and had a conversation with Sr Catherine Four months later, in November of 1830, Mary again appeared to St. Catherine at the Rue de Bac Chapel, standing on a globe, with dazzling rays of light streaming from her outstretched hands. Framing the apparition was an inscription: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” When Mary spoke to St. Catherine, she said “Have a medal struck upon this model. Those who wear it will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around the neck. Those who repeat this prayer with devotion will be, in a special manner, under the protection of the Mother of God. Graces will be abundantly bestowed upon those who have confidence.” With approval of the Catholic Church, the first medals were made in 1832 and distributed in Paris. Only ten of the original medals are known to exist, and one of them is housed at the Miraculous Medal Shrine.
