The first thing is that the days of the week aren’t capitalized like they are in English. The second thing to take note of is that Lunes (Monday) is the first day of the week and you can see this by looking at any calendar in Spanish. So, the first five days: lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves y viernes Si lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, y viernes son los días de la semana, sábado y domingo son el fin de la semana Instead of JUST learning to say the days of the week in Spanish, it is a good idea to actually be able to talk ABOUT your days not just recite them. Let's look at some helpful phrases that you can use. To ask what day it is you say, ¿Qué día es hoy? Cada día is each day Todos los días is every day Algún día-someday El día siguiente-the next day El día anterior El otro día the other day Another helpful tip: When you say el lunes, el martes, etc. it means Monday, Tuesday.
