ECSM shares a service of progressive Christian worship for the Third Sunday of Advent, December 14, 2025. Rev. Dr. Karen Hastings-Flegel and Maestro Michael Miller led the Bell Choir and the Vocal Choir for our annual Choir Sunday. Elaine Palmer shared some thoughts on What Joy Means to Me. Together we sang “The Candle of Hope” (Tune: O Worship the King, #41), “Joy to the World” (134), “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee” (611), “Doxology” (606), and “Canticle of the Turning” (100). Directed by Rev. Dr. Karen Hastings-Flegel, the Bell Choir offered “O Come, All Ye Faithful” (133), arr. Patricia A. Sanders Cota, and “Coventry Carol,” arr. Martha Sobaje. Under the direction of Michael Miller, the Chancel Choir presented “Away in a Manger” (114), arr. Jay Rouse, “Hark! The Herald Angel Sings” (119), arr. Jay Rouse, and “On Christmas Night” (112), arr.
