In John 2:23-3:21, we encounter a powerful conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus, a Pharisee and ruler of the Jews. This passage is a profound exploration of spiritual rebirth and salvation. 1. Seeking Signs vs. True Faith In the beginning of this passage, many people believed in Jesus because of the signs and miracles He performed. However, Jesus understood that their belief was superficial. He challenged them to move beyond seeking signs and instead to have a deep, genuine faith in Him. This reminds us that faith should not be based solely on external displays of power but on a personal relationship with Christ. 2. The Conversation with Nicodemus Nicodemus, a respected religious leader, came to Jesus seeking wisdom under the cover of night.
