#TheWordTodayTV #TodayGospelReading #GospelReadingforToday #GospelandReflection #HolyMassReadings Today's Catholic Mass Readings & Gospel Reflection - Tuesday, June 13, 2023 Reading 1: 2 Cor 1:18-22 Resp: Ps 119:129, 130, 131, 132, 133, 135 Gospel: Matthew 5:13-16 Memorial of Saint Anthony of Padua, Priest and Doctor of the Church Lectionary: 360 Reading 1: 2 Cor 1:18-22 But God is faithful, so our word, which was set before you, was not, in him, both Yes and No. For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you through us, through myself and Sylvanus and Timothy, was not Yes, and No; but was simply Yes in him. For whatever promises are of God are, in him, Yes. For this reason, too, through him: Amen to God for our glory. Now the One who confirms us with you in Christ, and who has anointed us, is God. And he has sealed us, and he has placed the pledge of the Spirit in our hearts. Responsorial Psalm: Ps 119:129, 130, 131, 132, 133, 135 Response: Lord, let your face shine on me. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul hath sought them. R. Lord, let your face shine on me. The declaration of thy words giveth light: and giveth understanding to little ones. R. Lord, let your face shine on me. I opened my mouth and panted: because I longed for thy commandments. R. Lord, let your face shine on me. Look thou upon me, and have mercy on me, according to the judgment of them that love thy name. R. Lord, let your face shine on me. Direct my steps according to thy word: and let no iniquity have dominion over me. R. Lord, let your face shine on me. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thy justifications. R. Lord, let your face shine on me. Alleluia: Mt 5:16 R. Alleluia, alleluia. So then, let your light shine in the sight of men, so that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father, who is in heaven. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel: Matthew 5:13-16 You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, with what will it be salted? It is no longer useful at all, except to be cast out and trampled under by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. And they do not light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that it may shine to all who are in the house. So then, let your light shine in the sight of men, so that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father, who is in heaven. === Reflection: https://mycatholic.life/books/catholi...
