As human beings, we long for security and comfort and all that the world can offer. St Paul warns the Christians of Corinth to be mindful of worldly distractions and addictions - power, wealth and lust – that obscure our Christian calling. Jesus calls his disciples to leave behind the things that limit them and to follow him with their God-given talents in a new mission.
