For God So Loved...

What can God do about evil? It is a question that we are going to explore today as we look at John 3:14-21. Many will recognize that embedded within this scripture is the verse John 3:16 that begins "For God so loved the world..." What we don't always recognize is that this verse relies on a verse from the Hebrew Scriptures taken from Numbers 21, which recounts the story of how God provides a remedy through Moses, who fashions a bronze serpent on a pole. The question in many ways of what to do with the serpent, is a way of asking what to do about evil. What has God done about evil in the world? What about the evil in ourselves? A special thanks to Cynthia for our Faithbuilder, to George for our scripture reading, to Graciela and the worship team for our music, and to George, Conrad, and the A/V team for the behind the scenes.
