PRAY THIS BEFORE GOING TO BED: SLEEP PEACEFULLY
A prayer before bed. Heavenly Father, We come before You tonight with hearts full of gratitude and trust, knowing that You are our refuge and our fortress, our ever-present help in times of trouble. We thank You for Your unfailing love and Your steadfast protection. Lord, as we lay our heads to rest, we ask that You surround us with Your mighty angels. Psalm 91:11 declares, "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." We ask that Your angels stand watch over us, keeping us safe from every danger, both seen and unseen. May Your divine presence guard our homes, our hearts, and our minds. We trust in Your Word, for You are our shield. Psalm 18:2 says, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.” We place our trust in You, God, knowing that no harm can come near us unless it passes through Your loving hands first. Let Your peace guard our hearts and minds, and let Your mighty protection cover us tonight. In the quiet of this night, Father, we also pray for peace to reign over our souls. Isaiah 26:3 assures us, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." We surrender our fears and anxieties to You. May Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill us as we sleep, knowing You are with us. Lord, we also stand on Your promise in 2 Thessalonians 3:3, "But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." We claim Your protection from every form of evil, whether it’s spiritual, emotional, or physical. We know that You are greater than any enemy or fear that may try to come against us. So, we rest tonight in the shadow of the Almighty, trusting that You will continue to keep us safe. May we awaken with renewed strength, courage, and faith to face whatever challenges tomorrow may bring, knowing You will go before us and never leave us. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Protector. Amen.
