The scoreline stands 2-1 in favour of the hosts, as the caravan shifts to Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui for the 4th T20I on Sunday (March 23). The Kiwis earlier announced that Matt Henry and Zak Foulkes will join the squad for the final two games, with Kyle Jamieson and William O'Rourke making their way for the fellow pacers. Foulkes was called into the set-up straightaway for the series opener, with O'Rourke not featuring in the first three T20Is. In the latest news from the New Zealand camp, it was confirmed that Henry, who missed the all-important Champions Trophy 2025 final against India in Dubai due to a right shoulder injury, hasn't recovered yet. He has been ruled out of the series, with O'Rourke, who initially was rested for the final two matches, has been named as Henry's replacement. However, Jamieson will be rested as decided earlier. Pakistan opted to bowl first in the third T20I and managed to pick wickets at regular intervals. They failed to stop Mark Chapman's heroics with the bat and the southpaw teed off, scoring a 44-ball 94. He didn't get much support from the middle order but his scoring rate never came down. After his dismissal, skipper Michael Bracewell played a superb cameo and helped the Kiwis to go past 200. Although Haris Rauf plucked a stunner to dismiss Finn Allen for a duck in the first over, the Men in Green made a lot of errors on the field. However, the bowlers fought back and managed to bundle out New Zealand for 204 in the final over. Rauf was the pick of the bowlers, picking up three scalps, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abrar Ahmed and Abbas Afridi grabbed two wickets each. Shadab Khan chipped in with a wicket. For a change, Pakistan's openers came out all guns blazing and smashed 74 runs inside the powerplay, with Mohammad Haris hitting 41. Man in form, Jacob Duffy broke the opening stand and that was the last bit of joy in the Kiwi camp at Eden Park. Hasan Nawaz, who bagged consecutive ducks in the first two T20Is, turned up brightly for the visitors and hit a cracking maiden international century. He was excellently supported by skipper Agha Salman, who, too scored his career-best half-century. The duo added a match-winning partnership and never allowed New Zealand to make a comeback. Nawaz slammed back-to-back boundaries in the 16th over, completing his hundred as well as finishing the game with 9 wickets in hand. There were plenty of records that broke during the run chase. Pakistan will look to keep the winning momentum going, while New Zealand will aim to seal the series with a game in hand. Who will come on top at the Bay Oval?
