On today’s Weekend Stock Show we discuss last weeks Federal Reserve meeting - where it was indicated that the FED would raise interest rates sooner than previously anticipated. The action broke the trend in the S&P500 and XLF (Financial/Bank) ETFs … meaning the FED could legitimately crash the stock market if its not careful. We discuss on the show why the FED’s action could crash the market - NOT related to inflation. The fact is, the FED is actually trapping money in the banking system, allowing banks to make money without increasing lending. This is leading to slower M2 or Money Velocity … which can actually be DEFLATIONARY - despite all the money printing done by the United States Government!!
