God offers us mercy in Jesus Christ, so we gratefully confess our sins together: Gracious God, whose face is hidden from us by our sins, you are the One who knows us best. We want to know you more and share your glorious grace with others, yet we think of ourselves first. Deliver us from proud thoughts and vain desires. Teach us to trust your perfect plan. Forgive us, Lord, and create a new heart in us. As we make our personal confessions, we gather our thoughts into quietness …. (personal time of reflection) in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Assurance of Pardon Leader: Remember that our Lord Jesus can sympathize with us in our weakness, since in every respect he was tempted as we are, yet without sin. People: With boldness then we approach the throne of grace. Leader: Know that you are forgiven and be at peace. People: Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. A new life has begun! *Gloria Patri: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen. Leader: May the peace of Christ be with you People: And also with you. (please offer the peace of Christ to friends seated nearby) Moment for Stewardship Witness Offering Truly God is Good Michael Barrett Chancel Choir *Doxology: Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
