The song reached No. 1 in Australia, No. 2 in Canada & No. 6 in the U.S. The double album consisted of one disc recorded from live performances at Winterland and The Fillmore in San Fransisco and the other recorded at studios in London and New York. It received excellent reviews and reached No. 1 in the U.S., Canada & Australia and No. 3 in the U.K. It was the first double album to achieve Platinum status.
