What to know about West Nile Virus and mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are more active in the summer. The insects are more than just a nuisance, they can also spread disease, and the U.S. is already seeing cases of West Nile Virus. While most infections are mild, about a 1,000 people are hospitalized with a severe form of the disease every year.
