Fix Your Guitar's Loose Tremolo!

This is a super simple fix for all those loose tremolo arms out there. I'm using a Strat, but it should work on any similar style tremolo. I’ve been playing guitar since 2001, and I’ve owned a Fender Stratocaster since 2015, but I just discovered a simple trick to fix a…loose tremolo. This might be common knowledge, but it was mind-blowing to me, so I wanted to quickly share it with any other guitar players out there who struggle with a…floppy whammy. Even though I have a Strat, this should work on pretty much any guitar with a similar tremolo system. It can sometimes be tough to adjust your tremolo just right.. Either it’s too loose and swings all over the place while you’re playing, or it’s too tight and you can’t adjust it easily when you need to. Turns out all you need is a little spring. I’m sure there are lots of springs that would work for this, but I found “official” Fender springs on Amazon for like $5. •The official Fender tremolo springs: https://geni.us/vylIh0M (Amazon) All you need to do is remove your whammy bar, drop in a spring, and reattach the bar. Tighten it up to your liking, and then it should stay put wherever you leave it, but also be easy to move and reposition as you’re playing.
