Hamas-Israel Hostages Released Amid Ceasefire

KOMPAS.TV - Hamas and Israel fulfilled their first phase of a ceasefire agreement by exchanging hostages on Monday (October 13, 2025). Hamas released 20 live hostages in two phases, under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Meanwhile, Israel released 2,000 Palestinians. The ceasefire agreement was announced on October 9 under pressure from US President Donald Trump. The agreement came after two years of war in Gaza that killed more than 67,000 Palestinians.
