피 땀 눈물 (Blood Sweat & Tears) - BTS | SYJ MV Reaction, Review & Analysis

So much symbolism in this MV!!! For one, Jin forgot to moisturize... (just kidding) IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS WITH TIMESTAMPS OF MV    • BTS (방탄소년단) '피 땀 눈물 (Blood Sweat & Te...   (Link to the MV to follow along) This music video is FILLED with symbolisms, primarily angels & demons symbolism (not referring to the movie & book). The whole concept of the MV revolves around the "Boy Meets Evil" in my personal opinion. In the beginning scene of the BTS members in the museum, what are the colors of the background? Black and white. 0:23 (The overview shot of the museum) 0:42 (The black and white corridors to the sides of the painting Jin's observing) The black and white color scheme of the museum represents elements of evil and good respectively. On the subject of the museum, one thing caught my attention: the painting that Jin is looking at. 0:28 (The painting Jin's looking at. It seems to be a depiction of a war between good and evil; evident from the winged beings fighting with darker colored demons) Another thing I found was the reoccurrence of covering the eyes. 0:55 (Suga covering Jimin's eyes before the song) 1:16 (Jin's eyes being covered by 5-6 hands) 3:50 (Jimin being blindfolded) 4:50 (V actively covering Jin's eyes and opening them to see the statue of the Fallen Angel) There also seems to be many Biblical references in this MV. 2:00 (the two statues behind V. To the left, it's a black, horned statue that I could assume is Lucifer/Satan/The Devil, and to the right, it's a pure, white, statue of an elegant woman.) 0:42 (Once again, the painting Jin's looking at depicting of the war between good and evil) 2:31 (All the members of BTS are at a table with Jin at the head. This is reminiscent of the Last Supper depicted in the Bible; maybe Jin is symbolic of Jesus Christ?) All of these symbols and story points revolve around the "Boy Meets Evil" concept. At the 4:50 mark, V covers Jin's eyes, and then at the 5:25 mark, V is revealed to have two vertical, parallel scar marks going down his back where Wings were supposed to be. This could only mean that V is the Devil/Lucifer/Satan. He was covering Jin's eyes to blind him from the truth/what's righteous. Also, throughout the MV, we see that V's character's fall from Heaven. 1:12, V is sitting on a balcony 3:38 V is covered in a white veil, which could be a symbol of God's mercy, grace, blessings, etc. It's slowly being pulled away 4:54 The veil is completely removed completing Lucifer's fall from Heaven. 5:25 V is Satan I wouldn't say that Jin represents Jesus Christ in the MV, but I would assume that he is either an angel, a man fighting temptation, or a man trying to cut ties with evil. All of the symbols point to these things; however, one thing threw me off: Jin KISSING the black winged statue at 5:13. The black winged statue also seems to represent Satan as he is also known as the "Fallen Angel." Why would Jin kiss the symbol of evil? Is THIS the point of "Boy Meets Evil?" Because of Jin's action, we immediately see the consequence: his skin cracking up at 5:58. We don't really know for sure if this is the direct result of kissing the statue, but it's safe to assume this. We also see a bunch of statues breaking and cracking during the last chorus so this could simply mean that chaos is erupting; the light does not belong with darkness. Jin's sin lead to his body to corrupt and crack. I haven't read into ANY OTHER theories out there yet, so I'm making this analysis as I watch the MV second-by-second. This is my Jin "Boy Meets Evil" Sin Theory. Some may agree and disagree, but I wanna hear YOUR interpretations of this MV! My interpretation maybe FAR from correct, that's why I wanna hear what YOU guys think what the inner meaning behind the MV is!
