SILENT NIGHT 2024 - Merry christmas!

#organ #innsbruck #silentnight #orgel In this video you can hear the famous christmas hymn "Stille Nacht" (Silent Night) from yesterday's evening mass. It was sung in the version, which Johann Hinrich Wichern revised in 1844 and can be found in the Gotteslob under number 249. The organ I'm playing is located at the Holy Spirit Church, former hospital church (Spitalskirche Heilig Geist) in the center of Innsbruck, Austria. It was originally built in 1846 by Johann Georg Gröber and enlarged in 1963 by Reinisch-Pirchner Orgelbau from Steinach am Brenner.
