Happy are the people the Lord has chosen as his inheritance! 1 Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! * It is fitting for the upright to glorify him. 12 Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord * and the nation he has chosen as his inheritance! R. 18 But the Lord looks upon those who fear him, * and hope in his unfailing love, 19 to rescue them from death * and to feed them in times of famine. R. 20 We wait patiently for the Lord, * for he is our help and our shield! 22 May your grace come upon us, O Lord, * just as we have hoped in you! R.
