Until Dawn Story: In February 2014, Josh and his twin sisters Hannah and Beth invite their collective friends (Sam, Mike, Jessica, Emily, Matt, Ashley, and Chris) to the Washington Lodge on Blackwood Mountain for their annual winter getaway. Beth, Hannah and Josh’s sister, start the gameplay when Hannah runs away from the lodge after a horrible prank was pulled on her by the rest of the group. Beth goes out to the woods to chase after Hannah until she finds her and cross paths with a stranger holding a flamethrower. Terrified, they both run away from him until reaching the end of a cliff and falling off it. However, both bodies were not found and therefore announced to be missing. On the one year anniversary of the disappearances of Hannah and Beth Washington, the remaining seven friends accept Josh's invitation back to the mountain and make their way there. As the group separates to partake in their own festivities, their seemingly idyllic getaway begins to quickly turn sinister in more ways than one. When eight friends are trapped on a remote mountain retreat and things quickly turn sinister, they start to suspect they aren’t alone. Gripped by fear and with tensions in the group running high, you’ll be forced to make snap decisions that could mean life, or death, for everyone involved. Every choice you make in your terrifying search for answers – even the seemingly trivial ones – will carve out your own unique story. Until Dawn is an interactive drama survival horror adventure game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, and was originally released worldwide in August 2015. At the 2023 Game Awards, it was announced that a remake is in development by Ballistic Moon and was released in October 4, 2024 for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
