
When to Repot Monstera & The Soil Mix I Use
When to repot plants is one of those contentious issues in the house plant community. You need to pick a side. There are no fence-sitters here. I very much err on the side of caution when it comes to repotting my plants. Yes, this is because I'm a lazy plant caregiver, but also it's because plants don't like being repotted. It's not something they were designed to cope with. It's especially stressful for them to be repotted when they've just been brought into a new environment, which is why I recommend waiting a couple of weeks before repotting new buys. I'm not saying that repotting a new plant will definitely cause it to go downhill, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Here's a link to a long-ass article I wrote about repotting.
