(head presentation, head-first presentation) A fetal position at childbirth where the fetus is in a longitudinal lie and the head enters the pelvis first. (Types) vertex presentation (most common): The occiput is the leading part. (It first enters the birth canal.) malpresentation (all other presentations): Abnormal.
