These will be used for an activity at our next All Pro Dads Breakfast on March 4. Boxes can be any shape or size. They can be placed in the bin near the front entrance. Newsletter Deadline is Monday, February 26. Please make sure all articles are to the office by 12N on Monday. It will be published on Wednesday, February 28. Gracious Givers: FCC-Z collected 470 Handwarmers for Christ’s Table during January. In February we are collecting peanut butter for Eastside Community Ministry. Journey to Jerusalem: A Lenten Journey of body, mind, and spirit For Lent 2024, FCC-Z is going on a journey to Jerusalem. You are invited to take this journey mentally, physically, and spiritually while exploring the spiritual practices of the Christian faith along with Jesus and the disciples. Book Study – The Walk: The Lenten journey will explore Adam Hamilton’s study The Walk. The book examines the five essential spiritual practices rooted in Jesus’ own walk with God. Pastor Laureen will lead two study groups: Mondays at 6:30PM and Wednesdays at 2:00PM. The Key Generation class is also doing the study at 9:30AM on Sundays and others are welcome to join them. Worship weekly themes will cover the 5 Essential Practices of Christian Life Adam Hamilton explores in his book The Walk. February 18: Worship and Prayer February 25: Study (bring your bible with you) March 3: Serving Others March 10: Give (bring 30 silver coins bags) March 17: Share (evangelism) March 24: 5 Practices from the Cross Going the Distance: The journey offers people opportunities to track their prayer time, Bible study time, and exercise time/miles. Time will be converted into miles. Our goal is to collectively log 6,057 miles during the six weeks of Lent. Beginning February 14 (first day of Lent) you are invited to track your miles/time exercising and your time spent in prayerful devotion. As you report these, we will track our collective Journey to Jerusalem in the Narthex/Lobby.
