Whatever you call it, it’s the same cake. So this is it. It’s moist, it’s flavorful, it’s satisfying. So you best believe you wanna try this recipe. It won’t disappoint. You could pair this with your favorite glass of wine, sorrel, Jamaican hot chocolate tea, hot cocoa, coffee, eggnog, a glass of cold milk, that’s my favorite. So thank you for watching this video. HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY THIS BLACK CHRISTMAS CAKE MERRY CHRISTMAS Ingredients For My Delicious Jamaican Black Rum Cake 2 cups Flour (sift all dry ingredients) 2 cups Dark Compact Sugar 6 eggs ( preferably room temperature ) 1lb butter (4 sticks unsalted butter) 1 cup red label wine 3 tbsp Ray & Nephew Overproof White Rum ( or rum your choice) 5 tbsp browning ( I use the grace brand) 1 tbsp molases 1 tbsp cinnamon powder 1 tbsp mixed spice 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp all spice 1/2 Cup each of fruits ( Cherries, currant, raisins, mixed peel) - (prunes Optional) 2 tbsp baking powder 1/2- 1 tsp salt 1 tbsp vanilla, mixed essence, 1 tsp rose water zest of 1 lime or lemon 1 cup red label wine ( for misting your cakes after done baking, but while they are still hot to keep the cake moist) BAKE @ 250 (for 2hrs on middle shelf) Allow cake to cool down before you cut, then store in air tight container or ( in plastic wrap & foil paper) this cake can be stored in freezer for up to a year.( LOL NOT IN MY HOUSE IT STAY FOR 1 WEEK TOPS.MI LUV BLACK CAKE. love you guys.
