KHARI RAILWAY STATION The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project is now 100 percent complete, with railway stations in Kashmir soon connecting to the rest of the country. Stakeholders in Kashmir’s fruit trade are optimistic that the project will boost the apple industry, saving valuable time and money. However, transport associations have expressed concerns about its impact on the local transport sector. Final track work on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link is complete. The ballastless track work for the 3.2-km-long Tunnel T-33, located at the foothills of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and connecting Katra to Reasi, was successfully completed. The first direct train from Kashmir to Delhi will begin operating in January, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi likely to inaugurate the remaining 17-km stretch of the 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project between Reasi and Katra next month. The train will cover a distance of 800 km in less than 13 hours, sources said. The proposed 62-km-long track, 45 km of which has been completed, falls between Katra and Sangaldan, with trial runs of the train underway in the stretch between Sangaldan and Reasi. The stretch also has the world’s highest bridge over the Chenab river. At present, Kashmir has a truncated railway line as the train runs between Sangaldan-Banihal in the Jammu division to Srinagar-Baramulla in the Valley. From the Jammu side, which is connected with the Indian Railways network across the country, the train runs up to Udhampur and Katra. The USBRL Project was approved by the PV Narasimha Rao-government in 1995 at the approximate cost of Rs 2,500 crore. However, the work gained momentum after it was declared a national project by then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2002. Seven years later, the first phase of the 118-km-long Baramulla-Qazigund section of the project was completed and in 2013, it was extended to Banihal in the Jammu division which was dedicated to the nation by then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In 2014, the train started running on the 25-km-long section between Udhampur and Katra and from Banihal to Sangaldan, last in February this year. To be completed at the cost of over Rs 35,000 crore, Kashmir will likely finally have direct Vande Bharat trains to Delhi this January. The train is expected to benefit the people of Kashmir by facilitating hassle-free transport of goods such as apples, dry fruits, pashmina shawls, and handicrafts to other parts of the country in the shortest possible time and for cheaper. The cost of transporting items of daily use to the Valley from elsewhere in the country is also expected to go down significantly Whole USBRL PROJECT LATEST PROGRESS Jammu Railway station redevelopment Kashmir Railway station redevelopment Station Redevelopment India high speed train project update Usbrl Tunnel T1 Indian railways High speed train in india Construction vlogs Anji Khad bridge latest update Chenab bridge latest update All USBRL station progress update Delhi to Kashmir train update 2024 Delhi se Kashmir kab train chalegi indianrailways usbrl project update by indian railways usbrl project usbrl project live update usbrl project update usbrl usbrl project latest update usbrl project latest update 2024 usbrl project update tunnel 1 tunnel t33 usbrl tunnel t1 latest update usbrl project update today anji khad bridge new update chenab bridge latest update construction all usbrl stations anji khad bridge chenab bridge latest Anji Khad bridge me train kab chalega Complete tunnel T33 work Train on anji khad bridge Train on USBRL project Disclaimer: This video is made only for public information. it is not for the promotion of any brand or firm and not violating or revealing the privacy of any firm or brand. *DISCLAIMER: As per 3rd Section of Fair use guidelines Borrowing small bits of material from an original work is more likely to be considered fair use.
