Psalm 40: Here Am I, Lord; I come to do Your Will

This is a Psalm for the Second Sunday of Ordinary Time, Year B. Many parishes throughout the United States use the Respond & Acclaim Psalter published by Oregon Catholic Press. It is a wonderful resource and I enjoy singing that music! However, there are many other options out there for congregational Psalm singing that prescribe to the Lectionary readings. This is a live recording of a real Sunday Liturgy using the International Liturgy Publications hymnal. The Psalm was composed by Beverly McDevitt, 2006. The congregation sang using hardcover hymnals in the pews, and you can hear that by the fourth verse, many people feel secure with psalm refrain and they do sing along with me, The Catholic Cantor.
