Homemade Buttered Biscuits   Ingredients 2 cups self-rising flour 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt ½ cold cup butter 1 cup milk   Instructions 1. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar,  salt, and butter with your hands until the  mixture has the consistency of cornmeal. 2. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the milk. Mix the dough until it comes together, being careful not to over-mix as it can make the biscuits tough. 3. Pour the dough onto a floured surface and press it out evenly. Then, fold the dough from each side,followed by folding the top and bottom. 4. Once the dough is folded, pat it down into a rectangle about 1/2-inch thick. 5. Use a 3-inch biscuit cutter to cut out your biscuits. 6. Place the biscuits on a buttered baking sheet or cast-iron pan. 7. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and bake the biscuits for 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown. 8. Serve the biscuits hot with some strawberry jam for a delicious treat!
