
Healthy Breakfast - Moong Dal Dosa - South Indian Authentic Recipe!
Ingredients Yellow Moong Dal/Yellow Split Lentil/Green Gram without skin - 4 Cup Poha/Flattened rice - 1/4 to 1/2 Cup Dana methi/Fenugreek Seeds - 2 Teaspoon Dry Red Chillies - 4 Green Chillies - 3 to 4 Ginger - 1 inch piece Salt - as per taste Cumin seeds - 1 Teaspoon Hing/Asafoetida - 1/2 Teaspoon Oil OR Ghee/Clarified butter OR Butter - as required Instructions Wash the yellow lentil/yellow moong dal and then soak. Add flattened rice and fenugreek seeds to the dal while soaking. Soak all the ingredients for about 1 to 1 & 1/2 hour. Then drain the water and keep aside. Take a grinder jar, add soaked yellow lentil/yellow moong dal, flattened rice, fenugreek seeds, dry red chilli, green chilli, chopped ginger, cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt, little drained water. Grind it to make smooth semi thick batter. Transfer to the bowl. Heat a tawa or dosa. Once the tawa is hot, pour a spoonful of batter and spread it to make dosa. Cook it on a medium flame. Pour some ghee or butter or oil on the top. Once it turns nice golden brown from one side then flip it and cook from another side for 20 to 30 seconds. Once cooked, take it out on a plate. To make another dosa, first clean the tawa with a cloth or a tissue paper. Then make the dosa. Delicious 'Pesarattu | Moong Dal Dosa' is ready to be served.
