It is an island created by reclamation by connecting the shallow seas as a seawall between Yongyudo(용유도), Sammokdo(삼목도) and Sinbuldo(신불도). During the Goryeo Dynasty, Yeongjongdo was used as a base for trade with the Song Dynasty in China. There was a house staying for a while to come or go from China. and the house name was called Gyeongwonjeong(경원정). After that, it was renamed Taepyeong-ru(태평루), and in 1875(Gojong 12), it was destroyed by the shelling of Japanese warship Unyangho(운양호) and disappeared. #Baekunsan #Yeongjongdo #Naturalisland(紫燕島)
