Steak Fettuccine Alfredo
Steak fettuccine Alfredo Ingredients: Steak (your choice of cut) 2 boxes Fettuccine pasta 1 Qt heavy whipping cream 1 C whole milk Half stick of butter 1 Tbs compound butter for each steak (I used Kroger brand garlic, parmesan, and basil butter) 1 carton of white mushrooms (can use more if you are a mushroom lover.) 1 parmesan wedge Fresh garlic (or minced from jar) Olive oil Bullion powder ( or cubes) I used chicken Salt Pepper Garlic powder Onion powder Paprika Your favorite all purpose steak seasoning. McCormick has a Montreal steak seasoning that tastes nice if you need a suggestion. Steak seasoning What I used (adjust for your needs) Olive oil. Use only enough to lightly coat steak 1 Tsp salt, pepper, onion powder, smoked paprika. 2 Tsp garlic powder, 1tbs all purpose seasoning. Alfredo sauce: 1qt heavy whipping cream 1c whole milk 1 parmesan wedge (save a corner for garnish if desired. If not, use all in sauce.) 5 garlic cloves (I used about 10 🤷🏽♀️) 1 carton of white mushrooms Directions Chop mushrooms to desired shape. Crush garlic (skip this step if using minced garlic) Shred your Parmesan wedge. Sit these items to the side. Next step, lightly coat your steaks with olive oil, then season. The oil will help the seasoning stick to the steak. Heat a skillet and add a couple tablespoons of butter. Cook until done to your liking. Add more butter and olive oil a little at a time if pan dries out. When the steaks are almost done, start boiling your water for your pasta. Salt your water or you can use bullion to flavor and add about a Tbs of olive oil. Remove steaks from the pan — DO NOT— rinse out the pan. Add the mushrooms into the pan and cook to release the moisture from them add a half teaspoon of salt and add your garlic and cook til fragrant. Turn your heat down to low in your pan and add in your heavy cream and your cup of whole milk to your mushroom and garlic mixture. Stir frequently. Bring this to a simmer and then add your Parmesan cheese. Do not add the cheese to the cold milk, it needs to be warm or it will clump up. Bring to a simmer again while still remembering to stir frequently. Your pasta should be ready now so you can now add it all to the sauce and let it simmer. don’t worry that your sauce looks thin, once it cools, it will thicken up a lot You can now turn off the sauce and slice your steaks and prepare to plate. Garnish with parsley and leftover Parmesan if you saved any. Enjoy 😊 Thanks so much for all the love and support!!!
