Readings: #Joshua 24: 1-2a, 15-17, 18b; Psalm 34: 2-3, 16-17, 18-19, 20-21, 22-23; #Ephesians_5: 21-32; #John_6: 60-69. The readings for the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B, call to make a choice, a choice to serve the Lord with all our heart, to live out our relationships in a way that reflects Christ's love, and to remain faithful to Jesus even when His teachings are challenging. In today's first reading from the book of Joshua, we see Joshua gathering the people of Israel to renew their covenant with God. He presents them with a choice: to serve the Lord faithfully or to follow other gods. Joshua boldly proclaims, "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord". This declaration underscores the importance of personal conviction and commitment to God. The Psalmist echoes this theme of choosing to rely on the Lord. "I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall be always in my mouth."
