Message: Rev. Dr. Tom Stocks Buford Rd. Campus Pastor: Rev. Dr. Mac Jordan Worship Pastor: Katherine Phillips MUSIC: “I Will Follow” “Lead Me To The Cross” “Highlands” “Break Every Chain” SCRIPTURES: In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful, and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.” 2 Samuel 11:1-5 NIV (New International Version) SCRIPTURE READING: “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Natalie: Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalm 139:23-24 NLT (New Living Translation) SCRIPTURE MEDITATION: “So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:6-9 NLT (New Living Translation)
