Nighttime Prayer of Thanksgiving and for Peaceful Sleep Pray like this: Close your eyes for a moment… take a deep breath… and let the silence of the night wrap around you. Heavenly Father, who art in heaven and yet so close to my heart, thank You for this day that is now coming to an end. Thank You for the sunlight that has faded away, for every person who crossed my path today, for the joys that brought a smile to my face, and even for the challenges that helped me grow. Lord, I place into Your hands everything I lived through today: the things I did right and the things I got wrong, the words I said and the ones I should have left unspoken, the weariness I carry in my body, and the worries that still try to steal my peace. Forgive me where I failed. Heal wherever I hurt someone. Calm every fear that wants to shout louder than my faith. Covered by Your love, I now lay myself down to sleep. Watch over my home, my family, and my friends. Station Your angels around my bed and keep away all evil, all restlessness, all nightmares. Let this night be filled with true rest, let my sleep be sweet and deep, and tomorrow may I wake up with a renewed heart— ready to love more, trust more, and live in gratitude. My God, I surrender completely into Your arms. I will lack nothing, because You are with me. I pray this in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
