This temple is located in the Nallamala forests. The Gundlakamma river originates here. The Forest Department of Andhra Pradesh allows devotees to easily reach the forest on Maha Shivaratri. To reach Sri Gundla Brahmaswara Swamy Temple (Nandyala - Giddalur Highway), one has to travel 40km through the forest path from the village of Duttametta. Currently, the forest department officials allow only one person to enter the temple from here in a year. శ్రీ గుండ్ల బ్రహ్మేశ్వర స్వామి ఆలయం గుండ్ల బ్రహ్మేశ్వరంలో ఉంది. ఈ ఆలయం నల్లమల అడవుల్లో ఉంది. గుండ్లకమ్మ నది ఇక్కడ ఉద్భవించింది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ దేశంలోని అటవీ శాఖ మహా శివరాత్రి నాడు భక్తులను అడవిలోకి సులభంగా చేరుకోవడానికి అనుమతిస్తుంది. శ్రీ గుండ్లబ్రహ్మేశ్వర స్వామి ఆలయానికి చేరుకోవడానికి (నంద్యాల - గిద్దలూరు హైవే) దిగువమెట్ట గ్రామం నుండి అడవి మార్గంలో వెళ్ళాలి 40km . ప్రస్తుతం ఇక్కడ నుంచి ఆలయానికి సంవత్సరానికి ఒక్కసారి మాత్రమే అనుమతిస్తారు అడివిశాఖ అధికారులు
