Gospel of the Day, Wednesday, October 29, 2025

Gospel of the Day, Wednesday, October 29, 2025 A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke, chapter 13, verses 22-30 At that time, Jesus was teaching in the towns and villages as he made his way to Jerusalem. Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” Jesus answered, “Strive to enter through the narrow door, for I tell you, many will try to enter and will not be able. When the master of the house rises from the table and shuts the door, you will stand outside knocking at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open the door to us.’ But he will answer, ‘I do not know who you are.’ Then you will say earnestly, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ But he will answer, ‘I tell you, I do not know you. Depart from me, all you evildoers.’ Then you will weep and be in despair when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, and yourselves cast out. Many will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and will take their places at the feast in the Kingdom of God. For those who are last will be first, And those who are first now will be last.” #gospel #gospeloftheday #wordofgod #reflection #blessingsforyou #jesus
