Gospel of the Day, September 22, 2025 | Reflection and Word of God ✝️

Gospel for September 22, 2025 | Reflection and Word of God ✝️ Gospel for today, Monday, September 22, 2025, Readings of the day. ✨ Gospel for September 22, 2025 This reading from the Gospel according to Saint Luke (8:16-18) leaves us with several important lessons: Faith and gifts are not to be hidden: Jesus compares light to faith and the truth of his message. A burning lamp is not hidden, but is set on high to give light. Likewise, our faith and the gifts God gives us must be manifested in our daily lives, through our words and actions, so that others may also benefit. The truth always comes to light: Jesus reminds us that nothing hidden will remain hidden. This invites us to live transparently, without masks, knowing that God sees the heart. It is also a call to trust, because God's justice and truth will prevail. Listening attentively and putting it into practice: “Take heed how you hear” invites us to be responsible listeners. It is not enough to listen to the Word of God; we must welcome it and allow it to transform our lives. The dynamic of spiritual gifts: “To those who have, to them will be given, and from those who do not have, even what they think they have will be taken away” means that if we are faithful and make fruitful what we receive from God (faith, grace, talents), we will grow more. But if we do not use it, we will lose it. 👉 In short, the central teaching is to be a light in the world, to live authentically, to truly listen to God, and to bear fruit with the gifts received. -Beginning of the Book of Ezra 1:1-6 -Psalm 125 -Reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke 8:16-18 At that time, Jesus said to the crowds: “No one has lit a lamp, covered it with a vessel, or put it under a bed; but puts it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and made public. Take heed then how you listen. For to those who have, to them will be given, and from those who do not have, even what they think they have will be taken away." 🙏 Let us reflect on how Jesus makes the Kingdom present among us today. 🙏 Let us reflect on the power of his word that liberates and transforms our lives. 🙏 An invitation to welcome the newness of the Kingdom with a renewed heart. 🙏 Let us reflect on his teaching and healing present in our lives today.
