#Nicodemus #MosesAndTheBronzeSerpent #Hope #AdorationChapel TOPIC: DO YOU FEEL HOPEFUL EVERYTIME YOU LIFT UP YOUR PROBLEMS TO GOD? First Reading: 2 Chronicles 36:14-16, 19-23 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 137:1-2, 3, 4-5, 6 Second Reading: Ephesians 2:4-10 Verse Before the Gospel: John 3:16 Gospel: John 3:14-21 Today’s gospel reading shows Nicodemus visiting Jesus at night. He is a Pharisee and a member of the ruling Sanhedrin. These were assemblies of either twenty-three or seventy-one elders (known as "rabbis" after the destruction of the Second Temple), who were appointed to sit as a tribunal in every city in the ancient Land of Israel (Wikipedia). Nicodemus arranges to meet Jesus in the solitariness of the night. How many of us are urged to go to Church, to the Adoration Chapel, perhaps, in the middle of the afternoon, or during the ungodly hours of the night, seeking consolation, hope and comfort, answers to our questions, pleading for help from our God? This is the 341st installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
