Join us this Sunday for worship in person or online.  This week, we explore our understanding of the nature of God's influence in the world.  In Jeremiah 18, we find an image of God fashioning world events like a potter molds clay.  As we contemplate this passage, we have the opportunity to examine our own implicit understandings of God's interaction with creation.   Though the idea of a god who is in complete control of world events offers comfort amid seeming chaos, perhaps there is a deeper hope in the idea of a god who fosters the participation of created beings in a mutual relationship.  As we contemplate these questions, we trust in God's continued presence and compassion no matter our circumstances.
