There's immense value in laying our concerns before the Lord, praying for our needs, and seeking divine intervention. Yet, every so often, there's a profound goodness in doing nothing but standing before the Lord and offering pure praise. Reflect on the joy of praising God – not just for what He has done in your life, but for His ongoing work and the promises He holds for your future. In the book of Revelation, we glimpse the heavenly scene where creatures spend ceaseless days and nights proclaiming, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come." Picture 24 elders humbly bowing, laying down their crowns, and declaring, "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, for you created all things." This act of worship is profound. The Bible reveals that God's presence is drawn to those who worship and praise Him. It's said that He inhabits the praises of His people – dwelling where His children lift their voices in adoration. Allow me to share with you a Psalm of praise, and as you hear the words, take a moment to reflect on the goodness of God in your life. Praise Him for the protection, love, and mercy He has graciously shown you. Psalm 145 verse 1 declares, "I exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever." Let this be a moment to recognize the greatness of the Lord, a greatness beyond measure. As we pass down the ages, let each generation recount your mighty acts, proclaiming your power. My thoughts dwell on your majestic splendor and the wonderful miracles that define you. The deeds that inspire awe will be on every tongue, and I shall proclaim your greatness. The story of your wonderful goodness will be shared, sung with joy about your righteousness. For you, Lord, are merciful and compassionate, slow to anger, and filled with unfailing love. Your goodness extends to everyone, showering compassion on all your creation. All your works join in thanking you, and your faithful followers resound with praise. They speak of the glory of your kingdom, sharing examples of your power, recounting your mighty deeds, and marveling at the majesty and glory of your reign. Your kingdom, a kingdom everlasting, rules throughout all generations. You, Lord, always keep your promises, showing grace in all you do. You aid the fallen, lifting the burdened beneath their loads. All eyes turn to you in hope, and you provide sustenance for every living thing, satisfying hunger and thirst when you open your hand. Your righteousness is evident in everything you do, filled with kindness. You are close to all who call on you in truth, granting the desires of those who fear you. You hear their cries for help and rescue them. You protect all those who love you but bring destruction to the wicked. In this moment of prayer, Lord Jesus, I lift my praise to you. I thank you for your unwavering faithfulness and love. Your consistency sets you apart, unchanging yesterday, today, and forevermore. I praise you for the battles you've fought on my behalf, for the protection and favor over my life. Your grace and mercy, undeserved yet freely given, evoke deep gratitude within me. Psalm 28 verse 6 to 8 declares, "Blessed be the Lord because He has heard the voice of my supplications. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped. Therefore, my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song, I will praise Him.
