There will be prayers for healing, hope, and promise. Space for wheelchair seating and a children's activity section next to the worship area are readily accessible. As this is the first Sunday of a new month, Central will celebrate communion during the service. Elements (grape juice and gluten-free bread) will be available for those worshiping on-site. Remote worshipers who have their favorite beverage and bread (or something “bread-like”) at hand will be able to participate, too. Just have them ready for the appropriate time in the liturgy. The 8:30a.m. service is in-sanctuary only. This 11a.m. service will be hybrid. In-person, and LiveStream worshipers are all welcome! The worship bulletin and other service-related information can be found on Central’s webpage at http://www.centralumcendicott.org/bul.... Central’s in-building gatherings fully meet state and county Covid criteria. New York State protocols and CDC regulations continue to evolve, and Central’s practices change with them. Here’s what to expect: 1. The CDC indicates that Broome County is at the "Low" community incidence rate for Covid-19. In-house worshipers are encouraged to mask at their comfort level and stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines, including recommended booster doses. 2. All building entrances are open. Hand sanitizers are available at the sanctuary entrances. Social distance protocols and use of Friendship Pads for contact tracing will continue. 3. Café Central, Childcare, Christian Education, and Faith Formation have resumed. Contact the church office (607-754-6060; [email protected]) for van transportation and all of the latest details. During Covid Central’s service to our neighbors, our community, and our world have shifted and changed; but also adapted and developed imaginative and creative ministries. God’s spirit remains among us, no matter what, and we continue to live out the truth that wherever two or more are gathered- Jesus will be there! We are invited and encouraged to set our reminders, set our spirits and souls, and participate in fellowship and worship this Sunday- whether virtually or in-person. May it empower us for witness and service all week long!
