Kristen and Achara continue with their journey to Middle Earth with the second movie in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Two Towers directed by Peter Jackson and based off of the book series by J.R.R. Tolkien The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers follows the fractured Fellowship as they face perilous battles, rally allies, and confront the growing power of Saruman and Sauron in their quest to protect Middle-earth. Directed by Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, King Kong, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers features an ensemble cast led by Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Good Son) as Frodo Baggins, Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, X-Men, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) as Gandalf, and Viggo Mortensen (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Eastern Promises, The Road) as Aragorn. The cast also includes Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Rudy, Stranger Things) as Samwise Gamgee, Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Kingdom of Heaven) as Legolas, and John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Living Daylights) as Gimli. Supporting roles are played by Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Lost, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as Merry, Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Seed of Chucky) as Pippin, and Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Planet of the Apes series, The Batman) as Gollum.
