A Prayer of Gratitude – Thanking God for Everything

Life moves so fast that we often forget to say two simple words: Thank You, Lord. 🙏🏽 We get caught up in what we don’t have, what hasn’t happened yet, and what we’re still praying for. But how often do we stop and appreciate what God has already done? How many times has He answered our prayers, protected us from unseen dangers, and blessed us in ways we don’t even recognize? The Bible reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Even in the hardest moments, there is always something to be grateful for. The fact that we woke up today is a blessing. The breath in our lungs, the battles we’ve survived, the doors God closed to protect us—these are all signs of His love and grace. Sometimes, we don’t realize how much God has shielded us from. That accident that never happened. That rejection that turned out to be a blessing. The prayers He didn’t answer because He had something better in store. If we could see it all, we would live in constant gratitude. So today, let’s do something different. Instead of asking for more, let’s pause and say, Thank You, Lord. Thank You for everything—seen and unseen, big and small, past, present, and future.
