The Divine Tree, also known as the Tree Of Life, is a seed left by the creator Soa in order to fill the world with life. The Divine Tree bears 108 fruits which are the lifeforms inhabiting the world. In order to learn more about the history of Endiness, the party gains access to the National Library with Librarian Ute's permission. During the study, Librarian Ute tells them more about the Legend of the Dragon Campaign, and the relations between the Moon Child and the Black Monster. While Dart and the others are doing their research, Rose visits the nearby destroyed town of Neet where She meets the Second and Fourth Sacred Sisters Luanna and Setie accompanied by Royal Guards. Luanna then recalls about the Black Monster's attack on their village which left her orphaned and blind. The Black Monster revealed during the assault that the Moon Child has the power to turn everyone into servants for the gods to descend, and claims that everyone who was present at the Moon Child's "birth" should die. Rose then offers protection to the Sacred Sisters and heads off to Deningrad with Luanna, Setie, and their royal guards. Meanwhile, Meru visits her home which turns out to be the Forest of the Winglies. She meets her friend Guahara at the forest entrance, who warns her about the possible hostile approach by the other winglies towards her. Unfortunately for Meru, she is hated by everyone including her parents and the Wingly chief Ancestor Blano. She has broken their rule of stepping outside the forest and is told to leave and never return. After touring the National Library, Dart and his party meet Rose and her royal companions at the city entrance. The group talks inside the city inn before Luanna reveals about her ability to see inside a person's spirit. She senses the powerful abilities within Dart and the other Dragoon Knights, but reveals that there is an external force influencing with their powers.
