I confessed and said, “I’m really sorry. It was an accident.” My neighbor looked at me for a moment and then smiled. “Thank you for telling the truth,” he said. “But next time, be more careful.” I promised to be more responsible in the future. My parents helped me pay for the window, and I learned an important lesson: when you make a mistake, don’t hide it.
