Text neck is a real thing—and it's not something you should ignore. It's when you look down at your phone or tablet for too long and end up with a sore neck and head. Text neck can cause headaches, muscle pain, back pain and even pinched nerves in the spine. It can also cause chronic neck pain if left untreated. The good news is that there are a few easy ways to prevent this from happening. First of all, make sure you're not looking down at your device while standing up. Instead, try standing in front of a mirror and looking at yourself while holding your device in one hand and typing with the other. This way, you'll be able to see what you look like when you're staring down at your screen for hours on end. If it doesn't look good, don't keep doing it! Second of all, if you can't stop yourself from staring at your phone while standing up, try sitting instead! This will allow your neck to rest in an upright position so it doesn't get tired from bending over for too long (which is what happens when we look down at our phones). Next thing: stretch regularly! Make sure to stretch before bedtime too! #textneck #postureclinic #physiotherapy #physionearme #physiobangalore #physiohsrlayout #physicaltherapy #badposture #goodposture #posturecorrection #posture #health #wellness #lowbackpain #neckpain #scoliosis #pcod #hunchback #roundedshoulders #fhp #forwardheadposture #kyphosis
