Today's Catholic Mass Readings and Reflections December 20, 2022 | Mass Gospel and Reflection | Luke Catholic Daily Mass Readings for December 20, 2022, Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Advent 1st Reading Isaiah 7:10-14 Responsorial Psalm Psalms 24:1-2, 3-4AB, 5-6 Gospel Luke 1:26-38 Personal Reflection Today’s Reflection on the Readings Prayer Personal Reflection Do we personally believe that the Annunciation occurs every day when we receive Jesus in the Eucharist and invite Him into our very beings rather than being a one-time event? Today’s Reflection on the Readings In the gospel reading for today's mass, we read about Mary's obedient submission to God's will for her life, which leads to an amazing encounter with God within her. She subsequently becomes the new Temple of Jerusalem, the new Ark of the Covenant, and the new place where God dwells. Mary becomes the embodiment of God and gives life to everyone she comes into contact with. Our Lady is held in high regard by many Catholics because of her close relationship with Jesus. What a lovely bond Mary has with her Son Jesus, it's true. The truth is that Jesus asks to be as close to us every day as He is to His mother, which many people are unaware of. Dear Friends, the same Messiah who dwelt within Mary and formed such a close relationship with her asks us to take Him inside of ourselves. Dear family of Mother Mary's Protection, through Today's Catholic Mass Readings Jesus invites each of us to receive Him into our deepest selves today, as Mary did, and to allow Him to grow there, becoming a God-bearer in our own lives, especially through His living Body and Blood in the Eucharist. I'm grateful to you, Lord, for making me humble and patient enough to wait for more of your favour. Prayer Lord, I am grateful that you have granted me 511 family members under Mother Mary's Protection. I give each of them, their families, and their intentions over to you, Lord. May the Virgin Mary bless us, watch over us, and always lead her children in the right direction. Lord, we also place all of our endeavours in your merciful hands. We are grateful that Mary, Your Mother, showed each of us how to respond to Your invitation into our lives, to trust You and Your plan with all of our hearts, and to live as living tabernacles. May almighty God bless us, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. I thank all my subscribers for your constant support of this channel.
