25 Hours with Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra! So this is brand new Samsung galaxy s25 Ultra. And you may have seen my unboxing video that went live a few hours ago, but I’m down in London at the moment hence the hotel room, where I have been playing around with it, testing the camera and battery etc, so I just wanted to give you a slightly more detailed, first impressions review kind of thing, that may give slightly more real world information than perhaps you’ve seen so far. My experience within the first 24 hours or 25 hours might be more fitting! On performance, when benchmarking the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for galaxy over the previous 8 Gen 3 for galaxy in the s24 ultra, we noticed a fairly large improvement, with according to samsung a 40% enharnced NPU performance, for all your AI tasks, 37% CPU, for all your fairly standard day to day tasks, and 30% GPU, for gaming, video editing, etc. I also compared it to the standard 8 elite in the oneplus 13, a18 pro in the iphone 16 pro max, and Mediatek Dimensity 9400 in the vivo x200 pro plus There is also better ray tracing capabilities over the s24 ultra, and a 40% enlarged vapour chamber for better thermal efficiency. And while I haven’t spent days of testing the gaming performance, in the short time I’ve had it, ive played a bit of Genshin Impact, Call of Duty and Asphalt, and it does feel a little step up from last years model for sure. There has been no upgrade to the 45W charger, that you will still have to buy separately also, and It’s the same 5000 mah capacity again. new 50MP ultra-wide lens, and The other lenses include a 200 MP Wide    F1.7, FOV 85˚    with OIS, a 50MP F3.4 Telephoto lens, with 5x Optical Zoom, a FOV 22˚  and OIS, and a 10MP F2.4, Telephoto Camera, with 3x Optical Zoom, and a FOV 36˚    with OIS.     You have cool tricks like Audio Eraser14 that simplifies the removal of unwanted noise, Virtual Aperture, integrated into Expert RAW, and portrait studio has seen a face lift, with more true-to-life avatars and new Filters to play around with. Now samsiung refer to the all new OneUI 7.0 over android 15, as the ‘AI Platform of the future’ …..But what exactly is new? Well, one of the key updates to Galaxy AI is that it now understands context, so thanks to there relationship with Google the s25 series has got even smarter. So if you are watching a video, listening to music, browsing something on the internet, you can swipe across from the right hand side and press ai select, and using AI it recognises what you are doing and what you may want to do or know. Another cool feature is having the power button on the side as a kind of personal concierge. A press and hold activates googles gemini, which is a long way from the days of bixby….and you can have the phone run errands for you. And then theres the all new now brief, which shows you how you slept, the upcoming weather, calendar reminders and snapshots from your most used news sources etc. And you even have an end of day debrief too, like upcoming travel arrangements, photos taken that day. And then you have ‘now bar’ which dare I say it is a little like the dynamic island idea on the iphone, whereby you can control music, videos, maps, etc and get calendar reminders for example, all without unlocking your phone. And speaking of locking, you have samsung nox to keep all of your data and information safe on your device.
